Is being pranked part of this Christ-muss I hear of? There was a bucket of water which I narrowly avoided, when I left to go to the tea shop this morning. When I returned back I found that my pai sho board was set up, but none of the pieces can move.

[This is kind of messing with him a bit, he didn't know what to think of it. His expression changes as he remembers something he wished to start]

Oh, and on the topic of Pai-Sho, I would like to see who can actually play the game, and who would like to potentially learn. I hope to set up a sort of tutorial, trial day to learn the game. It is a most fascinating game, very popular in my world, played by people from all walks of life. Once I have a good figuring of how many people would like to try it out, I will let everyone know the place and time.

What kind of game is Pai-Sho?

I have heard of a few different games here, but never of Pai-Sho. Perhaps you could tell me more about it?

Ah, certainly. It is a two player strategy game which bases the winner on control of the board. Different tiles will have differing effects on others, and can be combined together to create harmonies. You gain points for creating these harmonies, as well as gaining further control of the board. It is rumored to have been invented by ancient spirits, before the separation of the spirit realm and the material world.

[For the past week, Varrick's been busy attempting to adapt to life in Luceti and basically moping like a little child. The lack of Zhu Li is hitting him especially hard- she used to help him get ready in the mornings too. That's why his hair looks a little messy and his face is unshaven. Even so, this video entry brought a smile to his face, along with roaring laughter.]

The pieces won't move? Hahaha! That's genius! Absolutely brilliant! [He slams a hand down on the table, still chuckling to himself. Then he mellows into a more casual stance.]

Anyway, I know how to play. Just so you know, it's been a couple years, so I might be a little rusty. [This is just his brilliant excuse for why he sucks at playing Pai-Sho.]

Nothing to do with pies, but it is an excellent way to spend time. It is a strategy game which utilizes tiles.

That's weird... Pranks aren't supposed to be a part of the Christmas thing as far as I know. Then again, the Malnosso are weird about holidays... but is your board okay now, Iroh?

Hmmmmm. No the board is still stuck. I tried to use a little bit of firebending to see if I could heat it if it was an adhesive, but that didn't accomplish anything. I have tried a few different things, but the tiles are completely stuck.

While I can't claim to be an expert of any kind on the Christmas traditions around here, its not normal where I'm from. Though, you may not be the only pranked one. [After all, he has a captain running around in a mini-skirt because he claims he can't put on pants--and he's not quite sure he really buys that yet. But there might be a bit more validation if things are happening to other people too.

But then he's distracted by the game offer...and maybe he's looking at ways to escape his new roommates for a bit.]

Ah, it is unsurprising. From my understanding it is something that features fairly exclusively on my world. It is a strategy game similar to Go and I suppose Chess, though I am not particularly familiar with Chess.
