[You can find Iroh working in the tea shop for a portion of the afternoon, brewing and serving tea to customers. In the morning, he can be found in the forest, working out strangely enough for a portion of it, before having a bit of a packed meal and some quiet meditation. Later on after his tea shift, he will be having a quiet stroll around the village]

[Iroh turns and smiles and looks at the uniform. The colours were a bit Fire Nation. There was sort of a resemblance he couldn't quite shake to members of his own family. He almost looked like Lu Ten in appearance]

Hello there! Would you care for a cup of tea?

[Of all the faces he's seen thus far, that of this elderly man is most familiar, if still foreign in what feels like a murky memory. Iroh inclines his head, but takes care not to stare. A moment to consider, then,]

I don't suppose you take yuan as payment?

[Iroh shakes his head, but smiles]

We don't take yuan as payment, but no payment at all is necessary. If you feel the need to pay in some way, have a seat and tell me a bit about yourself. That will be sufficient.

[It's a strange deal, but he returns the smile in kind and nods. And before he moves to an empty seat nearby,]

I'll take what you've got to offer.

You are in luck. I have just brewed a batch of ginseng tea. It is by far my favourite.

[With practiced grace he places a couple of cups down and pours the tea. First for the young man and then himself, before he sits down.]

Your uniform seems to be a bit familiar to me.

[He accepts the tea – ginseng, hm? curious – with another grateful nod. He fingers the cup, but doesn't take a drink yet.]

I serve in the United Forces. Are you from Republic City?

[He was under the impression that most of the people here are foreigners]

[The older Iroh takes a sip]

Ah, no. I come from Capital City in the Fire Nation, and then I settled in Ba Sing Se. Republic City won't be established until a few years later from what I have gathered.

[Although he verges on staring, again, he decides that this will be the nature of the strange world. Enigmatic, and full of curiosities]

My family lives in the Fire Nation. But my grandfather has been traveling for the past few years.

Ah, a bit of travel is good for you. Who is your grandfather?

[Iroh finally takes a sip of the tea. It's phenomenal. Then, with an overt fondness,]

Zuko. My mother's father, and a close relative of mine.

[Zuko wasn't that common a name]

Firelord Zuko perhaps?

[He is sizing him up more carefully now. Could this be one of the ancestors he had heard of?]

Yes, but he retired a few years ago. Now he serves as an ambassador of peace.

[Iroh smiles]

Ah, well. Allow me to formally introduce myself then. I am Iroh, son of Azulon and Illah, uncle of Firelord Zuko, and your great grand uncle.

Uncle Iroh? [He leans forward, toward the elder Iroh, beaming.] I thought you looked familiar. I've heard so much of you from my grandfather.

[He straightens, intending to return the introduction.]

When I was born, I had the honor of being given your name.

Yes, I have heard from others from the future a bit about you. I have heard good things, I am glad our family has managed to turn its legacy around over the years.
