It is most unfortunate things have come down to that though. Does there destruction come with a purpose, or is it the purpose in itself?

[Simply killing and destroying for the sake of it was an absolutely insane state of mind to be in. Even Ozai destroyed with the purpose of controlling the world. Not a great deal better, but at least there was some other motive. Though truth be told, Ozai may have simply enjoyed the feeling of power and destruction.]
